When Are We Going to See Those Photos?

(Bruce Lewis) Do you have pictures of somebody's grandkids? Do you have pictures of a trip that others are curious about? Someone has probably asked you more than once when they're going to see those pictures. You'll get around to it eventually, right? The problem is pulling them together and getting them organized.

In The World Needs Another Photo-Sharing Site I explained how ourdoings.com organizes your photos for you. But organizing is only half the battle. Another tough part is picking the best photos.

The blessing and curse of digital photography is how easy it is to take lots of pictures. "All you have to do" is go through them later and pick the best ones. But when you're raising small children, or if you just got back from a month in Africa and have to catch up on everything, months might go by before you find time to do it.

So here you are, a person with lots of photos but no time to share them. Over there is someone who has time, and is waiting to see your photos. What to do? Wouldn't it be great if there were some way to let the person who wants to see the photos be the one to choose the best ones?

Now there is a way. If you're sharing photos on ourdoings.com, all you need to do is go to your "Site Info" page, check the box next to 'Let viewers move photos to/from "More Photos"', and click "Save Changes."

Then here's what you say: "I'd love for you to be able to see our photos, but I can't find time to pick the best ones. If I just upload all of them, do you suppose you could help me? You could? Great! Just watch this screencast to see how. I'll send you the link."
